Why the new colors?
Our Mighty8wd monster camper began life as a heavy-duty military vehicle painted in army green and charcoal gray. For our trip around the world, we deliberately chose a striking new color scheme: a bold combination of charcoal gray and bright blue. It was a well-considered choice that ensures safety, visibility, and a friendly appearance on the road.
Safety First When Traveling the World
The main reason for giving the doomsday truck a new look is safety. Given the tensions in various parts of the world, a purely military vehicle could inadvertently be seen as a target. Even modern surveillance systems and drones, when viewed from a great height, cannot immediately tell the difference between a military truck and peaceful world travelers. By adding the striking blue color, we make it clear at a glance that we are travelers.
Clear signage on the roof
In addition to the combination of anthracite and vibrant blue on the unit, we’ve also added clear markings to the roof. Words such as “Tourist,” “Traveler,” and “Holland” are painted on the roof in large letters. This helps prevent misunderstandings from the air and lets everyone see right away what this 8-wheeled beast is up to on the road.
Open mouths and whistling turbos
The reactions along the way have been amazing. People are left speechless when they hear the turbos whistling and see this massive beast roaring past.
