After years of traveling in American slide-out RVs, horse-drawn wagons, and even double-decker buses, we decided to make our ultimate dream come true: an unbeatable 8x8 monster RV that lets us explore the world’s wildest landscapes in complete freedom and safety.
Barry: builder, techie, and driver
Barry is the inventor and builder of the Mighty8wd. Driven by his passion for heavy machinery, he designed and built a monster camper that stands 1.60 meters tall on its wheels. No swamp, flooded river, or dense forest can stop him. As our driver, he safely guides our family through the most extreme regions in the world.
Merel: Second Driver and a Rock in the Storm
Merel makes sure that life on board runs like clockwork. From planning the routes and preparing the most delicious meals to taking care of everything and cleaning up whenever Barry has made a big mess while working on the camper. Thanks to her, our expedition camper is truly a warm home on eight wheels.
Kimberley: Joy and Discovery
Kimberley brings pure joy and camaraderie to the expedition. She savors nature to the fullest, learns about new countries and cultures every day, and discovers places you’d never get to see from a regular city. Together, we experience unforgettable moments among bears, wolves, and wild boars.
